I know there are more experienced veterans in the field of relationships (and blogging) than myself, but over the past few years I have discovered one thing- men are like shoes. Today's topic: The flip-flop. This is a shoe in it's most basic form. It's versatile, light weight, low maintenance, cheap. You can wear them with a pair of sweats or jeans; you can put them on in a hurry and kick them off when need be. They are excellent for certain occasions and disastrous for others, but let's face it, they aren't in it for the long haul. I give you the none-commented males. They might work for a date or two. You might even genuinely like them, but when push comes to shove, they just aren't long term "shoes." They don't provide the support or protection needed to ensure the consumer's safety. They can easily be kicked off and forgotten about, or found and tried back on just as easily. You might think you've found a special pair, but really once you've seen one flip-flop, you've seen them all.
